Armenia's first ever accessible trail building has started.
On July 1, within the framework of her two-day visit to Armenia, German Federal Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development Ms. Svenja Schulze and her delegation visited the SAP Startup Factory By Bana.
On June 4, the "Young Innovators - Future Leaders" Hackathon pitching round took place, which was attended by groups from different regions of Armenia.
The hackathon is organised by the EU4Business "Innovative Tourism and Technology Development for Armenia (ITTD)" project in cooperation with the GITC - Information Technologies Center.
The presented programs were so successful that not 1 but 3 teams got equal points in the 1st and 3rd places.

From now onward, the hall of Yerevan Cinema House is equipped with state-of-the art sound equipment to allow organising higher quality screenings and holding diverse events. Technical refitting of the Cinema House has been implemented by the EU4Business “Innovative Tourism and Technology Development for Armenia” project with co-financing of Goethe Institute.
On May 20, the launch of the Destination Armenia brand identity took place, which was attended by a number of guests.
The GIZ Office South Caucasus representatives together with the ITTD team members visited the TUMO Center for Creative Technologies and and the TUMO LABS project funded by EU! Online magazine “Origins” covering topics on Armenian wine and cuisine will not only increase Armenia’s visibility across the horizon of gastro-economic tourism, but also introduce the competitive and high quality Armenian wine to the world. The magazine has been established with the support of the EU4Business “Innovative Tourism and Technology Development for Armenia” project (ITTD) and the Private Sector Development and Technical Vocational Education and Training in South Caucasus (PSD TVET) programme.
Supported by the European Union and implemented by GIZ the intensive 8-week training course for all leading trainers of start-up incubators and accelerators across Armenia was first in its kind within the technology industry!
During the training, participants covered the topics of “Generation of Entrepreneurial Talent”, training in “Validation of Business Ideas” and a course in “Management of Incubator Organizations “.
ITTD, in cooperation with the Management Mix Consulting Company, successfully piloted an initiative on assuring safety and security standards in tourism. Within this framework, 5 tourism companies, offering fun, action and/or adventure activities, have been prepared and received the internationally recognized TÜV Certificate, which stands for safety and quality of their offer.
British Council Armenia announced English language courses for the tourism industry in the three northern regions of Armenia. The courses are organised within the EU4Business “Innovative Tourism and Technology Development for Armenia (ITTD)’’ project, which is co-funded by the European Union and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ. The official launch of the initiative was given on November 26 in the garden of ITTD Northern office in Dilijan.
