The Private Sector Development and Technical Vocational Education and Training South Caucasus (PSD TVET) Programme invites GIZ beneficiary technology start-ups to participate in Embedded World 2024 Expo (https://www.embedded-world.de/en), taking place from 9 to 11 April 2024 in Nuremberg, Germany.
The Private Sector Development and Technical Vocational Education and Training South Caucasus (PSD TVET) Programme implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) is operating in the three countries of the South Caucasus - Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
The goal of the programme is to improve the conditions for sustainable economic development and support inclusive growth. In Armenia, the programme supports wine, tourism, IT/precision engineering and logistics/transportation sectors.
For participating in Embedded World 2024 Expo up to 10 start-ups will be selected, which will receive the opportunity to present their products on designated stands for Armenian start-ups. Embedded World Germany is a premier event for the embedded systems industry, attracting a large number of exhibitors, visitors, and industry professionals from around the world.
The selected start-up will have an opportunity to:
- network with relevant and potential partners, high officials, investors, and clients not only from Europe but also from all over the world
- being part of the Armenian delegation and presenting your business under the Armenian joint start-up stand
- pitch during the start-up session in the Exhibitor Forum
- possibility to submit an abstract for the embedded award category Start-up (the three best submissions will win a joint media budget of EUR 45,000 in WEKA FACHMEDIEN media channels)?
- start-up coaching (by BayStartUP)
- enhance their visibility
The aim of the project is to increase the awareness about the technology field in Armenia and create linkages between Armenian and global stakeholders.
The selected applicants shall participate in:
- Two-day training/workshop
- Embedded World 2024 Exhibition
- Feedback and Follow-Up session
The application is open to the GIZ beneficiary technology start-ups that are legal entities registered in the Republic of Armenia and that have been operating for less than 5 years. The start-ups should have a ready product/service or MVP.
PSD TVET will cover the following costs: Insurance, visa, participation fee, booth construction, and accommodation.
The participants should cover the following: travel expenses and daily costs, and expenses of preparing their product/service marketing materials.

All applications received after the deadline will NOT be considered. Up to 10 applicants will be selected based on their applications.
